44yrs of going through it, though Im sort of lucky to a point, my lung disease is not as bad as the gastro one from cf too.
Ifeel for you. I know exactly where you are. I am up and down a lot lately. sometimes its hard to get out of bed or think of anyting else specially after the cough reminds you of it every day.
This week I started getting proactive about my getting better. Last week my favorite person in the world died and i was down and out, but her last words to me "dont give up, you keep up with the struggle you live for your grandson soon to be born" THAT STUCK IN MY MIND. So I started getting more positive specially with alot of the support from some very nice people here. Last week I didnt want to do meds. This week Im putting myself back on them. GOT TWO MONTHS to shape up so I am good to welcome my new grandson in April!
That is keeping me going.
You have to find something to distract yourself with. (I know, I should follow my own advice eveyr day). I find that making scrapbooks are good thing to do. Though I get tired.
I wish there was more to say that would make it all go away, but what I can concieve is that we who suffer the greatest end up rewarded heavier too, perhaps not on earth, but when we go meet our Heavenly FAther.
You are more than welcome to contact me if you want to talk more. I am fed up to the max about cf I know that much. but I gotta put up with it. And sometimes it takes miracles but they do happen.
Ask God to help you, pray to Jesus that he can do anything you ask Him, (I will ask HIm to help me gain the weight i need=8 lbs) and you ask for a break form this bout of cf flare ups.
God Bless You
