Anyone heard of/used the FLU MIST?

It is a more effective vaccine than the inactivated flu shot. However, it's not safe for those with any respiratory condition- asthma, CF, etc.

Officially, FluMist is contraindicated for those with respiratory illness due to the risk of it causing wheezing after it's administered, although live virus vaccines can be more of an issue with our kids too.

Thank you all. I did read about it and saw about the NO for people with respiratory issues. But that also means that we, the parents, can't use it either?

The military does give out the flu mist, but if you tell them your situation, they'll give you a shot instead. That's what they do for us anyways.

Tracey, mom to Sydney 8 w/cf & asthma, and Seth 4, w/cf both ddf508
