Anyone Living in NJ and try IVF?

I know NJ has the Family Building Act which requires Insurance companies to cover IVF and sperm retrieval. Has anyone had their insurance pay for IVF because they work in NJ or has anyone not qualified because their insurance isn't based in NJ even if they work there?

Hi. I have a son with CF so we chose IVF/PGD to have more children. I am a public school teacher so I am covered under NJ State Health Benefit plan. Our IVF was covered for the most part. PGD was not covered and was out of pocket. Don't know if this helps....I am not so sure about the sperm retrieval. I am already thinking about my son's future and how he will require IVF to have biological kids. Best of luck with your endeavors.

Rutgersnyy,

A great website where I found a lot of resources and others to talk to (in my state!!!) was, www.inciid.org They have many different forums, and there are a few infertility forums. You can post your question there and I know anyone who lives in NJ will share their story/expeirence with you. HEre are the best forums to have your questions answered, <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.inciid.org/forums/ivfwaiting/index.html">http://www.inciid.org/forums/ivfwaiting/index.html</a> would be my first recommendation, and secondly.... <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.inciid.org/forums/waitingroom/index.html">http://www.inciid.org/forums/waitingroom/index.html</a> and then there is this board which is specific to insurance, but it's fairly dead. Most ins. questions are answered on the other two boards, <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.inciid.org/forums/insurance/index.html
