Anything I need to know about going into the hospital?

I don't have CF, but when DS was born, the bathroom had one of those jacuzzi tubs with jets. IMO, I'd avoid using that like the plague 'cuz I don't know HOW they could get them clean.

Ditto on setting up a schedule with an rt.

Thanks everyone. I saw my OB yesterday and asked her about this. She said I was in the pre-op room that are usually used for c-sections, so that may have been why they didn't have the hook up. Then again, my nurse was like "I don't know lung stuff" so they may have had one, but she didn't know it. My OB said it would be a good idea for me to bring my meds simply because they are so much more expensive at the hospital. And I didn't even think about the sterilizing nebs issue - I might bring all 8 cups that I own! I don't see my CF doctor for another month, but I will ask him all these questions too.

When I went in they put me in the high risk medical room, the one with the ekg and all the extra machines just incase they needed it because they knew with my CF I would be more of a ummm risky case <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Plus I had all my bleeding issues. I had it written in my orders before I was admitted to have treatments done every 4 hours by the rt so that I could be at my best. I just let them handle it all. As for food they are going to be very very strict about you not eating in case you have to go into an emergeny c-section and they have to intabate you then you could asperate your food. So bring snakcs and stuff but have hubby act like he is eating when they walk in and NEVER eat when they are in the room!!
