approved drugs with eflow?

Other then Cayston, what has been approved for use with eflow technology?

Specifically I am looking for Hyper-saline and Albuteral/saline mix.

My doc is having issues with wanting to prescribe eflow because of a lack of approval.

However, I do have the Altera which is very similar if not the same. I plan to continue to use it for the two prescriptions mentioned above regardless.

I guess I'm just a hard headed CF patient

We had a rep from CF Svcs Pharm at our patient education day in March, pushing the e-flow/Cayston, and I specifically asked about other drugs with the e-flow because of the speed factor, and was told that it can only be used with Cayston because of the particle size. Will be interested to hear what anyone else has encountered...I'd love to get all Piper's nebs done in 20 min opposed to 45-60

I use it for all my drugs, Albuterol, HTS, Pulmozyme, Reformulated Tobra and Colistin. How it all came about was my doc ordered Colistin for me and it was called in with the eflow to be dispensed also. So, I asked if I could just do all my drugs with it and the pharmacy said yes except TOBI so that is why I do reformulated Tobra. I have been doing it and I LOVE IT!!!!! Times saved is AMAZING and my PFT went up too. So it is a shame some centers won't let some people do it. I have talked to some other centers and I have heard the same thing that if the drug is not approved for it then the CF Docs are not proponents. I know the pharm that I get my drugs from were willing to talk to my doc about the drugs and what mg needed to go into it for the tobra. Maybe you can talk with Foundation Care Pharmacy and see if they can talk to your docs??? They are at 1-877-291-1122.
