They really should test Alyssa for allergies. I know that Marahsyn has them and was wheezy quite a bit till we put her in liquid Claritin. It had really changed how she sleeps and breathes esp at night.
Good luck and follow your intution. You are her mom and know her best. If you don't succeed the first time, keep pushing, trying and talking to your doctor. I know that the doctors that I worked for appreciated pro-active parents<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Alysa's respirologist has her on prednizone right now and that seems to have fixed her wheezing, fast breathing (and we will find out abut her oxygen level later caues I cant tell that at home). So we are assuming its asthma related.

As far as that mould goes, we believe its in one of the spare (empty) rooms in the basement, which is close to below Alysa's room. The mould spores are probably travelling into her room through the air vent. We have closed off that air vent so hopefully that helps and we are also trying to figure out a way to switch rooms with her or something. She also doesnt go into the basement and unfortunately there are no windows in that room to help air it out.

We will find out more on Wednesday but I think I will be phoning her dr. tomorrow morning and mentioning the mould issue so it wont come as a surprise to him at her appt even though he, and the rest of the CF team, are aware of the mould issue (but they probably forgot).

Thanks for the all the advice, it is totally appreciated. I am still baffled with all this as it is pretty new.
