I feel better now that i see this thread here. I thought i was really odd when i was getting so angry with the nurses because they did not approve of me putting my son to bed at 8 pm because thats our bed time at home.I understand about this topic i just went through 5 weeks of this with my isaiah in the hospital for all that time.

I think it is only healthy that a 6 yr old goes to bed at 8 pm because your body has to be in rem sleep by 10 pm so it starts the healing procress, your body heals and repairs itself from 10pm to 2 am.This is when most of the repairs to our bodies are done,if we are not asleep then our bodies does not have the ability to effiently do it's job which shocked me that half the nurses did not know this. I hope you can brave this through and stick to your guns about it, because you are right and thats the right thing to do...I support you in this because the hospital will allow your child to be up all night long if your not there,i went through that personally.
