I used simply saline nasal spray on DS when he was a baby. It's an aersol, so not as much chance of getting a backwash effect -- boogers sucked back into the bottle -- that you may have with the squeeze bottles of saline. We'd also use the dreaded booger sucker -- bulb syringe to try to extract that sticky stuff.
When he was 4, I had purchased an ayr sinus rinse kit for myself, but before using it, noticed DS was really stuffy, so used it on him instead. Was AMAZED at all the crud we got out. When he seems stuffy at night, I usually will have him do a sinus rinse before bed after he take a long bath.
