Best way to do Vest?

Evening everyone,

I have had my vest for about 10 years now. When I do my vest I like to sit in a chair, but until recently I had this idea. When you do the vest and you are sitting in a chair with your back against the chair is the vest doing any good? When I sit back all the air goes to the front of the vest and just shakes the front side, but your lungs are located closer to the back so do I need to queit sitting back? does it not really matter?

Please post some advice and if you have a better way.

I like to work on my posture while doing my vest... "Sit up straight" I can almost hear my moms voice... Sometimes I stand up, but mainly I sit in the kitchen chair without leaning back!!! Good luck... I love my vest and am planning on doing a Christmas album while wearing it this year!!!

I like sitting up straight, away from the back of the chair, but if I am leaning back, I just turn up the pressure so that it counteracts the weight of my back and air still gets back there. The disadvantage (especially for women!) is the extra pressure is sometimes uncomfortable.

I don't know if I know of a "better way" to do the vest, but I will offer a heaping dose of my input on the matter. I always do the vest at the same time I ride my exercise bike. I have a recumbent bicycle so I have a place to rest my back on. It's surprisingly comfortable and I think an efficient way of doing chest PT AND exercising. 2 birds with 1 stone.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">
