For a little while now I've had an almost completely blocked left nostriland I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows what it may be. I shined a light up the cavity and could see what appeared to be what looked like a mucus membrane over the opening, or at least that's the closed I can explain what it looks like. I'm looking into insurance now(something I'm sure causes people with a pre-existing condition like CF nightmares...) but before I go to the doctor I still want at least some idea of what's up...anyone?

About a year ago my right nostril seemed blocked, I shined a light up it and it looked like it was swollen shut like the side wall of the nostril had swollen shut. After a couple of days of going down an coming back it went away from good. I was told that it was prob my sinus acting up. Do you have any sinuc problems?

I had the EXACT same thing last summer..... to the point where I could see it, just like you.. I would try to blow it out in the shower and even other gross things to get it out lol but it never worked.. prior to this I had 3 sinus surgeries throughout my life, so I finally decided to go to the good 'ol ENT... well when he stuck the camera up my nostril, and I could REALLY see it, it was a huuuuuge polyp.. nevertheless all my sinuses were jammed up as well, and I ended up having sinus surgery + having a deviated septum fixed. But it sounds like you most likely have a big gross polyp growing in there. CF is sooooo pretty sometimes hahahaha!

So what did the surgery entail? Recovery times? Breathing through both nostrils...I don't even remember what that's like
