Thanks all. So far Parker was able to go back to school for half a day today before complaining of stomach pain and needing to come home. It almost took a cattle prod to get him up this morning but I expected that. I am trying to get him to do a better job of describing his aches and pains so I can try to diagnose them. We will see how that goes. As far as fighting BCBS of LA.... I have already mailed in my grievance and I am waiting for a letter from his doctor to address this issue. I have spoken to CF advocacy services (through CFF.org) and recieved some guidance and I have talked to his nutritionist about using Scandishakes instead of the peptamin. There may be a few procedural problems (a bolus feed vs an overnight feed with the pump) but she thinks that would be just fine and she is working up an effective plan. I am personally amazed at the amount of support that is available to all of us if we ask or look for it. It has really made the last month and a half go quite smoothly. I thank you all for that......where were all of you people 9 years ago (just kidding). Related to this...my sister told me she thought she saw a news piece on 60 minutes or one of the news magazines about a person in the same situation I am in fighting the insurance company.. Did anyone see this news program???
