Boosting Brownie Calories

Emily doesn't really like chocolate either, but, she DID eat two turtle brownies recently. Caramel and pecans had been added to the mix. I don't have the recipe handy, but, if you google german chocolate caramel brownies, I'll bet you'll find a GREAT recipe that starts with a cake mix and has condensed milk, caramel, tons of butter and nuts. PM me if you don't find it, I'll track it down.

Good luck on the quest! I'm back to sneaking in butter and cream, but the little twerp detects it every time and won't eat!

Anyone ever make a WHITE chocolate brownie?

I am not big on sweets or chocolate in general. Chocolate candy must be cold/refridgerated for me to eat it.

Just curious.....I would think white chocolate would be easier to sneak the lighter colored additions like milk, cream or whatever.

Of course I guess that is doing it from scratch. Box mixes I wouldnt know how to add that stuff.

Well now that I didnt offer a darn thing to this thread....good luck LOL!

At xmas last year I was THRILLED to see DS walking around with a HUGE brownie sized piece of my homemade fudge. He thought it was a brownie and ate the whole darned thing. 'Course as usual, I made more for him and he didn't touch it and as usual -- piggy ME did!

Thanks! I made the brownies just as the package directed. She just wanted them regular ole brownies. If only I could have snuck in the extra without altering the taste. But she's eating both the chocolage pudding and the brownies. That's about all the chocolate she'll eat other than white chocolate. I think that many CF'ers aren't big on sweets or "junk" food for that matter. Those of them that benefit from eating at Micky D's and Taco Bell aren't all that into it. In talking with other moms when my girls were younger most of them had the same "problem". We never ate at Micky D's or other fast food places because our girls didn't like it. Once in a blue moonn would they eat a chicken nugget or cheese burger from any fast food place. Treats galore and they'd eat a couple of cookies that first day but that's it. And I know it wasn't my baking <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> cause it didn't matter who made it. With the exception of rice crispy treats, they scarf them up always. But only regular ole rice crispy treats, no chips or chocolate or peanut butter or anything, just marshmallow. Halloween candy lasted until Easter when I threw it out. Easter candy until fall when I threw it out. It just doesn't get any easier to cram in those calories when they are older.
Thanks again for your ideas. I'm scanning the high calorie recipe sites for alternate ideas on how to boost everything I can. Now just to keep me from blowing up like a balloon after loosing almost 20 lbs since Anna was listed for TX in 07.
