oh man dude, I'm so sorry.

I completely understand.

when I told my bf I had CF I was so scared. that he wouldn't understand, or couldn't handle it, and would leave me. I was the biggest thing I've ever done, but I'm really glad I did it.

I thought I was some 4 foot 10 freak, I mean, CF is scary, so many people die at a young age. But you have to learn to except it hun, you'll get through it.

If you need anyone to talk to, I'm always here.

Hey man, this is ^her^ bf, when she told me, I didnt know what it meant. I didnt know what CF was. At first I didnt take it too seriously, but then I learned and I found out that it is very scary. I love her so much, I do plan on living my life with her. I may not have kids with her, but I will still have kids. The worst thing is they wont be literally my kids, but I will still be their father (adoption). She is so perfect. I could never leave her for this, that would be horrible. She is helpful for these kinds of things so talk to her if you need it at all, and if for some reason you would like to talk to me, perhaps for a man's idea, Im here.</end quote>

Baby, you are the best. I love you.

I was diagnosed with CF at 3 months old, now 19 years old. But I was always in denial about it. I didn't believe it and sometimes I used it to my advantage at the same time. I know it sounds horrible.
<br>
However I tell people I have it if they ask, or if they ask why I'm coughing so much. Before in beginning of high school I told people I had bronchitis when I'd go into the hospital for 2 weeks. I didn't want people to feel uncomfortable around me, I didn't want them to treat me any different. Now when I tell people I tell them don't give me any sympathy because it doesn't help, infact it makes it worse for me. All I need is encouragement and something to look forward too. What changed it all around when I was in cheerleading and was supposed to perform but I was sick in the hospital and they did a prayer for me before my cheerleaders performed and when I heard people cried and we're touched and never knew what I had and they knew now. Everyone knew and I'm glad. No one treated me different they still treated me like the person who I wanted to be treated as. Yes I have a disease but I still like to go hang out, go to parties, go do stupid things from times to times. Your true friends will understand and will treat you the same. Don't allow them to give you sympathy it does no good. Just tell them Hey I have Cystic Fibrosis, I was diagnosed with it when I was 16, it causes complications to the lungs and pancreas." Look up as much info as possible to tell them more and more. Be educated about the disease, the more you know the more comfortable you'll feel with it and more comfortable to tell people. You don't have to tell everybody you know, not everyone needs to know.

As for the infertile issue I don't know what that feels like but then again I do. I'm not physically healthy to have any kids at the moment. I want 2-4 in the future and sometimes I fear that I will never be healthy enough to have any at all.
<br>
I hope the best for you and long healthy life!
