Breast enlargement?

If you want to have your boobs done AND have a baby, make sure you do the baby thing first. A friend of mine (non CF) had her boobs done and she was actually pregnant at the time (the test didn't show b/c it was so early). And then she had her baby and had to have her boobs done again. I don't think all situations are like this but be careful. If you are going to invest the $ make sure it will last.
They do tell you though that you can breast feed, etc. with implants so you can have babies afterward but for best results you might want to do your baby stuff first.

I too having considered getting implants. I'm 4'11" and weigh in at 115 pounds. I have curves everywhere except for my chest. I'm a 34A. For me, I'm unportioned if that makes any sense. I use to and still do buy extra padded bras and wear lots of sweatshirts and things that you won't notice the difference as much. I wouldn't be caught dead in a top with spagetti straps. Then, I look like a boy. Bathing suit shopping is a real drag too. A one piece is completly out of the question. Even a two piece, which is what I always get, makes me still look way too flat.

I haven't b/c I am trying to conceive. Like Kelli stated, you should wait until after pregnancy. Even still, I don't know if I'd have the guts or not to go through with the surgery if I don't really have to. LOL! My husband doesn't seem to mind at all. It just bothers me!

I'd once heard that implants don't last forever and at some point, they need to be replaced. Anyone know if this is true or not?

It is true, implants don't last forever. Eventually they will need replaced. They typcially last for 10 years. So when you need them replaced (due to wearing out) the dr. will usually cover the price of the implant and you have to cover anthesia costs. At least that is how it was explained to me.
But you are right, they don't last forever.

So a thought to consider when deciding is how your health will be in the CF catergory should you want/need to have them replaced. WoW...nothing is easy or forever!

Implants are always my dream that will never actually happen. I am a 36B and one of them is much smaller than the other. It looks ok in bras but with no bra I have one nipple practically at my shoulder (I have really high boobs) and one hanging down.

Anyway, if you get the implants good luck and I hope it works out for you. I really added nothing helpful but wanted to say you aren't alone in wanting them<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
