Thank you, I can see your point about not really knowing how to get all his junk out. He sure did feel better after the bronch. I also did home ivs for the first time only for 4 days left of his 14 day cycle. That was scary too. I want to feel comfortable doing home ivs, so if he is well enough we can stay home for those.<img src="i/expressions/iv.gif" border="0">

I've been culturing Staph Aureus since the early 1980s. I was really sick as a baby in 1965 (1 year old) but I don't think they did any cultures back then. At least I don't have any lab results in my copy of my pediatric medical records.

I wasn't diagnosed with CF until March of this year. Staph has flared up on and off over the decades and for me it's been treatable with Oral ABX. As CF bugs go some of the varieties of Staph can be relatively benign so long as they don't become resistant varieties. Did they tell you which strain of Staph he cultured? ~Juliet
