Hi there, I'm from Ontario. So you're going to Timmins for work? Wow that makes me curious. Timmins is pretty far north. Now don't start getting those crazy ideas about igloos or anything. The farthest north I've been is Sault Ste.Marie and Kirkland lake. The industry up north used to be mining, these resources have been pretty much tapped out. Some nickle mines are still being used, but nothing to what it used to be like. The economy has really taken a beating. Housing is so cheap, if you wanted to retire there or summer there. Well paying jobs are very scarce. Shopping? What shopping? You have to go elesewhere. Bus trips into bigger cities are very popular. Groceries are very expensive, everything has to be shipped in, and with the high cost of gasoline you know what that means. Now on to the breathing. Probably better than the big cities, but don't forget the pulp mills. Have you ever driven through those towns? Humidity is what it is, and summer in Ontario is very humid. As for the mosquitos, don't worry the black flies carry them away. LOL. I'm not trying to scare you off. Beautiful country.
