just to update this thread, I have private insurance (united health care) and it seems that Cayston is going to cost 25$ for a months supply through CF Pharmacy. I am certainly not complaining, when I pick up tobi through the regular pharmacy (Rite Aid, CVS, etc.) my co-pay is 40$ a month, because it's not a 'generic label' (which is absolute bull if you ask me because there is no such thing as a generic tobi. grrrr. ) Also the total price of the medication is a little over 5,000$ I want to say around 5,200$, (which is even more expensive then tobi which runs around 4 grand/month)

My co-pay for 1 month of TOBI is $150 (same for Pulmozyme; $150/month). I've been paying those for over a year, until I found out I qualified for assitance (duhh), so I assume I would hopefully qualify for assitance with Cayston as well if it's going to be $150+/month.

wow! 150/month geesh and here I am complaining about 40$ a month. =\ I guess all it takes is a littler perspective to really appreciate the things you have, huh? I'm still under my mom's insurance since I'm a full-time student so I think that's why I have pretty good coverage. When I was looking into getting my own insurance (school is just not my thing) I called so many companies and none would have me, and the one I did find that 'might' take me was an outrageous price/month nevermind what my co-pays would have been. eek! I'm glad you're able to take advantage of the assistance programs! phew.

Unrelated, but every time I see you post, I'm still in awe that you've done not one, but TWO marathons! you go girl! even thinking of running makes my whole body shudder. hehehe.
