My hubby and i just ordered a clear blue easy online and it should be here in a few days. We bought it because we arent sure if i ovulate every month for sure. We are very excited to take this next step in baby planning. We will try this method for a few months to see if it works. If not we will be moving on to more evasive fertility treatments. Being 35 yrs old already and having cf my time is running out.
My question is for you cf ladies that have tried the monitor. Were you able to pin point your ovulation with the monitor? What else do you recommend me doing to speed up the process? I have tried charting but my temps are all over the place so its hard to notice any ovulation. Any suggestions would be great!
Oh and I have preseed ready to be used too
Thanks

I haven't used the CBE monitor, just the ovulation sticks. I have used the CBE digital Ovulation tests and they seemed to work well. Problem was there was only 7 in a pack, whereas I could get a bulk pack of the regular sticks online way cheaper. I've had luck with both kinds, just haven't done monitor. I wish you all the luck!!!

I am using the Clearblue fertility monitor (UK), this in my 2nd cycle. Its very handy knowing when you ovulate, the first cycle it 'gets used' to your body so isn't very accurate but after that, its great! x

Thanks for the replies, I was starting to think that this wasnt any good giving the lack of responses lol. I am on day five of my first cycle so I think I start testing tomorrow! Xkerriex its funny that you say it gets "used" to your cycle the first month, I guess my monitor and I will learn together, lol. My cycles are so confusing and I am tired of trying to figure it out, so I hope this machine can Keep me posted on how machine has learned your cycle. I will do the same

Sorry to say Khristina, but I didn't have any luck with the CBE monitor. I bought a used one and reset it but it just didn't give me accurate info. I had much better luck with single ovulation sticks. You can get a ton of bulk OPKs online or on ebay and just test daily if the CBE doesn't work out.

I know you said you tried charting but I would keep with it. It may look like they are all over but when you do ovulate, it should show a clear spike. It is also possible that you didn't ovulate when you were charting. The handy thing about charting is that you get to know your own body after a while. An individual chart won't predict ovulation but after a few months you will notice the pattern and can plan better. Of course that only works if you do ovulate regularly. But the handy thing about charting is that it will confirm that you did indeed ovulate.

Good luck

Thanks for your reply. I charted for almost a year and never saw a clear spike in my temps. I have a feeling that I dont ovulate every month. So I thought maybe the monitor might help because it also monitors estrogen along with LH. So instead of overwhelming myself by charting and using the monitor I think it will be easier to do just one for now. Hopefully it will either confirm that I do not ovulate naturally, or by chance pick up ovulation that cannot be picked up with just LH tests alone. I also have tried just the cheap ovulation tests strips and the color matching is too difficult for me to determine. My only other choice was to buy the ov tests that have a happy face when ovulation is detected but figured it would be just as expensive as the monitor eventually.
There isnt any easy ways to go about this and its getting overwhelming. I know I will need to see a RE eventually but thought I would exhaust all other options first.
I think I will give the monitor a couple months and if its a problem like the rest, I will go see a RE. Maybe that will be my birthday/christmas present
BTW Caroline your boys are beautiful!
For those of you that are friends with me on FB please dont mention this because those close to me (family) do not know our plans yet, thanks.
