Unless you are getting a Poodle-mix from a shelter - it's a product of irresponsible breeding. Here's a <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.poomixrescue.com/home.htm">Poo-Mix Rescue</a>
You are not guaranteed anything with a mix - other than it is a mix. It could shed like mad, or not. They can have the characteristics of either parent - be it the poodle or the other, good or bad. They are bred for profit only - since there is not a breed standard or breed ability to better by breeding.
If you need to know that the dog will be non-shedding, look to purebreds from reputable breeders. These dogs will have parents with appropriate health certifications (hips/elbows, eyes, genetic diseases), AKC registrations on the pups, and if at all possible, champions in the line. There are a number of different breeds that would satisfy this need.
