Richard was diagnosed in June with Stage 3 Colon Cancer. Had surgery did some chemo and we just discovered about a moth that it is back and mestatisized it is Stage 4 recurrent colon cancer. Richard will be 46 in June and they don't even start screening men for Colon Cancer until their in their 50's. And Cancer does not run in Richard's family at all. But no one has out right said that the two are connected but no one has said they aren't either.

But if it runs in your family I would definately check with the Doc and see about getting screened.

i find this topic very interesting. i was recently diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis out of the blue, i was in hosp for 2 wks, i was also diagnosed with diabetes 12 yrs ago, im now 24 and have had cf since i was born. iv always had major stomach trouble and am on laxatives daily (a huge list), get blocked up every couple of wks, its such a pain!! the pancreatitis was new to me and i dont know much about it, do you think i could be at risk from pancreatic cancer, since im suffering from pancreatitis & i presume i became diabetic from something to do with my pancreas too?
