CF Commercials

Its funny that this be brought up.... My Mother about a year or so ago was watching tv and saw a few commercials about cancer, MS, and something else and called the cf foundation and asked them why they dont ever have any commercials about cf to get the word out there. Their response was, "they take all the money they have and put it entirely into research"....
Well that is all well and good, but if they got the word out there loud and clear, they just might have more money to do all that research with. I am glad to see this post ....at least someone is advertising it and getting the word out.

I'd definitely remember that commercial if I saw it.</end quote></div>

Nice vid! I embedded it in my off campus blog today. Very powerful.

I justed watched the drowning boy video. Actually, I didn't care for it all that much. It was a little to sterile IHMO.

It said our lungs fill with "fluid" which isn't really correct. I would have liked to hear more in the way of "no cure" "frequent infections" "progressive" - key words like that, which could get the seriousness across in a more understandable way.

I suppose the public is hearing "cystic fibrosis" either way - but they also need to know it isn't as simple as "fluid" - If I didn't know anything about CF, I would think there would be some "easy" solutions to a "fluid" issue.

they have 30 seconds to get their point across. i think showing a boy drown is an effective way. hell i dont even like watching those commercials. i mean it's not necessarily the truth but it gets the point across.
