CF Flatulence or Gas

I was wondering how much grief you all receive from either you friends, loved ones or spouses about your CF related flatulence or gas. By virtue of our condition we put out a particularly strong odor in our gas, and I've been given constant grief about how 'stinky' I am or 'are you farting again' stuff. Why don't some people just have a sense of humor about it and quit complaining?

Any thoughts?

I never really got any grief about my gas. I grew up in a family full of smart-asses and we all joked about it all the time. Besides, some of my family members can fart with the best of them. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> My husband and son are worse than I am now!

Since I had my colon removed in June 2007, I can't really pass gas anymore, which sucks as a CFer, because it all builds up inside and makes me get a stomach ache. Things tend to move right through me now and if I try to pass gas, there is almost a guarantee that something else is going to come with it. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif" border="0">

Once in a great while IF I am exceptionally stinky, but otherwise my hubby & daughter are just as bad if not worse.

Better out then in is what Shrek always says LOL!

Not that this would always work, but when my gas got bad again, they upped my Pancrease and it helped immensely. Also, I try to avoid foods like cabbage and broccoli, LOL.
