funny you mention this...I was just talking with dbtoo the other day about my mathematical handicap...

I never saw myself as having a math problem, I'm also in the Electronics field where math is necessary.

However, I feel my math skills didn't reach its potential because I had missed so much school in my younger days.
So, I didn't do well on the Trig Test in College cause I didn't reach that level in HS, but I can still manage algebra and such...

My current job requires trigonometric calculations and thats where I wish I was able to have learned enough earlier...esp. since I never had any need for trig for the past 20 something years lol

I have always been good in school..
That was good for me cause I could keep up with my class without doing too much.

So I don't really know how it works.

My lungsfunction has been very poor since I was about 8

The last few years before my transplant I couldn't keep up anymore. But that was because I was getting too tired.
I couldn't read a book anymore either. I just didn't register what I read.

Well, my CF has always been pretty good until I got into high school and started missing a lot of school. I have to say though that my Math skills have never failed. I love Math! I missed three months of school straight my Junior year and I still passed the Regents III exam with an 86. In college, I took three different Math courses (Pre-Calc, Statistics, and College Algebra and Trig). I didn't to so well in the Pre-Calc but I did pass it and I did awesome in the other two courses. I was out of school for about a week and a half prior to college graduation because I had an embolization because of hemoptysis. That was the semester that I took the Algebra and Trig. My professor gave me the choice to hold off on the exam and I told her no, I was ready to take it. She told me to come into her office the day after the exam and she would let me know how I did in case she wanted me to study more and take it again. I went into her office and she showed me my exam which I got a 105/100 on!! I was thrilled!

I recently took one of those IQ tests online and the result was that I was a visual mathematician. The area that I had trouble with in school was Global Studies/History and Science. I passed all of them, I just had lower scores than I had in Math and English.

Math has never been my strong subject, but I managed to graduate summa cum laude with a degree in Biology.

I had to take alot of courses involving mathematics
Calculus, logistics, physics, etc.
