I was thinking the same thing...
As far as banking goes, I was nailed for $20 when the dollar dropped below $0.95 and I was pissed....but that wasn't all...eight years ago, the same bank had paid the US Gov. $100 of my dollars for taxes...despite the fact I could claim exempt...the bank never notified me of this "sudden tax fee", nor even consulted me, so I was out that much money.
I wanted to close the account since the time I was nailed the $20, but the dollar hasn't gone up above 1 dollar per yen...so I'd lose a lot in money exchange.. *grrr*
