what was wrong w/ the check???</end quote></div>

I was thinking the same thing...

As far as banking goes, I was nailed for $20 when the dollar dropped below $0.95 and I was pissed....but that wasn't all...eight years ago, the same bank had paid the US Gov. $100 of my dollars for taxes...despite the fact I could claim exempt...the bank never notified me of this "sudden tax fee", nor even consulted me, so I was out that much money.

I wanted to close the account since the time I was nailed the $20, but the dollar hasn't gone up above 1 dollar per yen...so I'd lose a lot in money exchange.. *grrr*

I can relate to your dilemma..yup!

I received a letter from them (the company that is paying the $50.00), it said they were having computer glitches...and if it did not clear, they would take care of any fees or bounced checks that resulted from their error.

I also received a phone call about it....they will make good on it, but they need to know about it first.

Good lord, calm down, crap happens sometimes. we are all human and make mistakes. Instead of threatening the bank why don't you first contact the company to inform them of what happened and see what they are willing to do to work with you.

If you got into the bank with your guns 'a blazin nobody is going to want to do anything for you and you'll likely walk out of there more pissed off than when you came in.

take a deep breath...
