I am sorry to hear that Cheyenne is back in the hospital. Hang in there! I will keep you my thoughts that she gets better soon.

As far as ports. Cory has had 2. I love them. It makes Iv antibiotics so much easier and I find them easier to deal with than PICC lines

I would recommend the port although understand in can be hard on the self esteem, probably a good idea to therefore get it while she's a litte younger, before the awful puberty related self esteem issues start appearing? I had one placed finally in March after battling the doctors not to have it done, because i was worried about how it would look. Well, i convinced the surgeon to put it under my arm, nearly in my armpit and you can hardly see it. He thought it would get in my way and annoy me when accessed, I'm happy to say he was wrong!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
