I always give culturelle when the boys are on antibiotics. It does the trick everytime!!! No upset stomachs or yucky poops.
It only helps when they are on antibiotics though. We give a different probiotic all other times.

blessings,
missa

As far as being sick to the stomach when on antibiotics, I always have to eat a snack or meal about 20 minutes before taking a pill. Be sure that the doses are spread out evenly over the 24-hour period, too, as that would make me sick if I took them too close together. I would definitely check on the yogurt. Although someone said their nurse recommended it, any product with calcium should not be taken within the below specified hours of a dose of cipro. I checked on the Mediwidget to verify that, and this is a quote from the link provided:

"<b>Take CIPRO </b>Tablets and Oral Suspension either
<b>2 hours before or 6 hours after </b>taking these products:
.an antacid, multivitamin, or other product that has magnesium, <b>calcium</b>, aluminum, iron, or zinc
.sucralfate (Carafate®)
.didanosine (Videx®, Videx EC®)."
