I got a couple of these:

Alisha (Asexyblonde) recommended them here, and I really, really like them. I have a hepa filter vacuum, too, but I can't use it everywhere (like on the furniture, and the small spaces and quick vacuuming I do with my handheld/stick cordless beaterbar vac- cat hair everywhere!) so it has made a world of difference! They aren't as hard to breathe through as regular "paper" masks, and they are washable and comfortable (for a mask, of course ).
I have a swiffer(?) duster/stick thingy (sorry, I'm doing my vest, or I would get up to check the name) that works really well- especially in the car!
I also got a Scrubbing bubbles Automatic shower cleaner (lol) and I really like that.
Hydrogen peroxide I have read is good for cleaning things like bathroom and kitchen counters, and I only use water (as per our installers instructions) and a terrycloth flat mop head to clean our hardwoods. Occasionally, I will spray the wet mop with a little Lysol, if I think the floor needs it, and I have a relatively small Bissell steam cleaner for the throw rugs that don't go in the washing machine (3 area rugs). I just use a little carpet cleaner and water with that.
I almost never sweep- I even vacuum (with either my Oreck or the cordless) my kitchen floors (with the mask) because it stirs up so much dust to sweep. My cordless vac is $40 at Bed, Bath and Beyond ($32 with the 20% off coupon) and it is the 3rd one I've owned in - gosh, over 10 years, I would guess- and I love them. Only one has died on me- the first generation didn't have a removable battery, and the battery croaked.
I now have 2- one in each end of the house (I had a coupon for the new one that came with a bonus second battery-lol). It falls somewhere between sweeping and dusting and is really easy. I can even vacuum the bathroom rugs with it, and it gets up cat litter, too . That with the mask has made cleaning so much easier on me .
I hope some of this helped in some way!
