well, my mom grew up in mc allen and talks about christmas as a child that she wore shorts to go outside and play with her new christmas toys, so imagine the summer, its a different life, you can get a good 3 bedroom house for 100k new, and i don't know how pay compares, its gonna be less but you don't need as much, things are cheaper.

and yes climate can have a whole lot to do with it, hts was discovered because drs in austraila realized their patients living near the coast did signifigantly better than others, and i also think polution hasa lot to do with it

my father was always the one to keep us near the beach here in southern california. we get clean ocean air pretty much year round and the temp. is pretty consistent no matter if it is summer or winter, fluctuates between mid to low 50's to high 70's for the most part. it is cf heaven!

I grew up in PA and while I was always healthy I did struggle with the humidity, especially at night in the summer. Once I got married we move to CO where the air is SO MUCH drier and for the first time in my life I was able to sleep with the windows open and not waking up coughing. We've now moved to Chicago and I can tell that we're in a more humid climate again, based on my lungs. I think everyone is a bit different, but my lungs can always tell when the seasons are changing!

(On a side note: The only place the humidity didn't bother me was at the beach, but I think that has to do with the salty air being so beneficial)

It was definitely a factor for me until I got the transplants. I live in NY where we get really cold winters and really hot summers (although not as hot as the southern part of the states). Pre-transplant, I could hardly be out in the cold during the winter for more than a minute without starting on a huge coughing fit and having to come inside. During the summer was better for me except for when it got really humid....that made it hard to breathe. I would have to stay inside in the air conditioning.

Now that I have had the transplants, the weather doesn't seem to bother me. I still can't go out in the heat that much though because of the meds that I am on that cause me to burn (and I'm already light blonde and pale skin).
