hi i just read your post and started crying. My son is being genetic tested as he has a chesty cough most of the time. He is 50th centile and only had one chest infection with no bowel problems. He has beautiful fingers and nails he has however got really wierd toenails - they don't seem to grow and are kind of flat on the nail bed - is this clubbing? I'm worrying myself sick about all of this.

Where can one see a picture of this phenomenon? I'm not sure what it is or looks like exactly. so I'm not sure how far outside of "normal" I should be looking? And if it does signify an O2 issue, is there something to treat or prevent this?

don't cry on account of clubbing... no it's not flat, quite the opposite, more humped up and broad.

as posted on your other post about your son, try not to get too worked up yet. Everyone here knows how agonizing it is to be waiting for genetic test results, but hang in there and try to stay grounded - so sense in making yourself sick.
