I noticed the shape of my sons nails the day he was born, I didn't know what it meant, His father who has heart troubles and smokes, has the same shape. I thought that he "got" his dads nails and my eyes, no big deal right.

At a wedding reception my new sister-in-laws Dad, who's a respitory theripist, noticed his Dads nails and asked him about it. It never tumbled that Collin's nails looking the same was a big clue that something wrong. We didn't figure the CF part for years later.

Now it's one of the first ways for me to check on my son's health, but not the only one I depend on. I do find it a pretty reliable way to take an educated guess, about extra treatments.
