Colistin

Never had problems with it, no bad reactions at all. The foam can't be helped, but it's not such a big deal. For the last 2 and 1/2 years I've been rezistant to Tobra so I only did Colistin , which apparently, does not become rezistant to Pseudomonas.

Vlad, Pseudo can become resistent to Colimycine. Only, not that fast.
I have nebbed Colimycine for 16 years I think, till I had my transplant. In the last year before my transplant my sputum cultures came back sometimes telling us that my Pseudo's were I (saying that they were becoming resistent).

So they definitaly can become Resistent to Colimycine.

I never had TOBI. This is because you get resitent to TOBI fasther then you do to Colimycine. I was resistent to lots of antibiotics. Only Tobra and Colimycine were still available. We saved Tobra for my many IV's. We didn't want to risk me nebbing it and becoming resistent.

Hi,

I have been on Colistin every other month for the last 5 mos. Before that, I had been on it occasionally. It works really well for me (one of the few things my PA is sensitive to). The mixing is a pain in the butt, tho, and it does taste terrible.
