I also had the "invalid credentials" message recently. I had always used the log on name "arabeth". I used that here as well as all my online games and stuff. I have always used the exact same password so I have no doubt as to what my password was but I couldn't log on. I had to create a new user name. This was about 3 weeks ago. There are obviously some issues going on but it does seem strange that she got the message about her father. That seems pretty deliberate but I don't know who would have access to ban her and put that message there. Really strange. I hope it gets straightened out. I also really hope it doesn't cause her not to come back. She obviously has a lot of support here and we all admire her.

Thanks for your kind words, Renee - in addition you touched upon my chief worry (that Coll will be driven away from the Forum permanently by this crazy situation) - and I think we all know how valuable the support we get from each other is!
I have tried to contact the administrator several times for other issues and NEVER get a response either. Does an administrator actually EXIST? and if so, WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

That message that Coll got "your fathers an idiot" message. I was talking to someone the other day that said she was getting the same message for some reason. There must be some kind of kink. Hang in there, I'm sure they'll fix it soon.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">
This is so strange.. Don't worry it will get straightened out for sure.. When I first tried to post here, I kept getting a message that said I was banned for a message that I NEVER WROTE, I was never on this site before then.. I emailed the administrator and I didn't get a response, then I met Julie on another website and she emailed Bill the administrator who took care of it for me. I have since had to email him a few times to get other things straightened out and it has been no problem.
They are able to track even posts where ppl don't leave names to peoples IP address, so their shouldn't be any problems.. Did the post say that she made a post that called someones dad an idiot? A while back someone called my dad an idiot on here but they didn't leave their name. I never reported it or anything because I thought it was funny, because we were talking about the stupid things ppl say to us about our CF and I was talking about how my father blamed my mother for it and someone responded by saying something like no offense but I think your dad is an idiot...and then i noticed that the message got erased.. this may not be related at all but let me say.. if that was the post that they are talking about, if i wasn't offended why should someone else??? and She may not have been the one to do it and also this may have nothing to do with what you are even talking about.. so if not sorry...
I hope they figure it out soon and I can't wait for Coll to post again, she is wise beyond her years..

Thanks admininstrators, It must have taken a few days to figure out what the He** happened though. THis internet stuff is dangerous sometimes, actually life in general is. We do NO online banking, and haven't utilized one of our accounts for insurance auto. deductions ONLY and never used the debit card, and low and behold, we now have fradulent activity on the account from Mark's debit card.... I don't get it. I am glad you are back coll and this all got worked out!!!

Nope, I tried to post a response about night sweats (and I don't think I've ever called anyone an idiot on here, as far as I can remember). When I clicked 'Reply To Topic', a message loaded onto the page (instead of my message) that said "This user is banned from posting on this thread and all of the cysticfibrosis.com forums. Reason: No offense, but your father seems like an idiot."
Honestly, I was so stunned by the strangeness that I tried to post again, even on a different thread to see if something was wrong with the night sweats thread, and I received the same message.
It was incredibly bizarre and upsetting, and I do hope that everything possible is done so that the actual USERS of this forum who gain information and support here aren't harassed and bothered by hackers or trolls.

Eh, if someone wants to make problems, they'll find a way no matter what. They've got to be really sick to want to make problems like that on a support board, though.
I get that exact same message every couple of days or so.
