You must make sure you are registered through the office of disability and work with them to get this fixed. It is discriminatory and unacceptable, and my guess is that you are dealing with someone who doesn't know what CF is and doesn't care because they aren't being asked to do the accommodations from the office of disability.

You MUST MUST MUST get a doctors note and you should NOT be staying there...as you already know. Who cares if Reslife doesnt end up liking you too much...its their JOB to find SAFE housing for you and every other student at that school.

Fight this. You have every right to a safe place to live. You got some good suggestions here about how to get what you need. I hope it all works out. Good luck

Just another 2 cents worth: remind yourself that you are paying for the place (regardless of whether it is your cash or scholarship $) and probably a pretty big price for what you get if it is anything like the dorms when I was in school.

Would you take your money and rent an apartment in a wet basement? You've got every right to be demanding.
