I lived in a dorm with 1 roommate - I bought a ton of nebs to last me a week, and I took them to a dishwasher at the end of the week to sterilize. This was back in the late 90's, very early 2000's. sterilizing nebs 10 years ago wasn't talked about as much and I wasn't as concerned as I should have been.
If I had to do it over again, I'd use a baby bottle sterilizer or get an apartment type set up where I could use a small countertop dishwasher exclusively for sterilizing nebs <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=9854464

Other than that, having roommates is smart for a CFer I think. For the most part people are generally pretty understanding and considerate. And CFer's can't live in a bubble - dealing with the general public is important. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
