Hey I Have Cf and im a freshmen at a university in Hawaii. I'm like five thousand miles away from home, and its a 5 hour difference. It was hard getting all my stuff on the plane and having the rest shipped. Since there are like 5 people on the island with cf, there are no medical centers for people with cf so its challenging to be here.
My advise, go somewhere there are medical care centers for cf. I wish I did.

I think most of it comes to responsibility.
I'm not in college (though hoping to attend a certification program next year if I can financially make it happen), but I don't live with my parents anymore and have had "project" jobs far more rigorous than college.
The simple fact is that you have CF, you have responsibilities to your body that precede all else. You won't be able to go out and party all night with the other students, you'll have to turn down social invitations sometimes... you'll have to set a pattern in your life (and that's very difficult sometimes and work changes) that allows you to have a scheduled procedure of how you do things.
You'll probably push yourself too hard, maybe get sick and have to back up again, but after a bit of experimentation you will find that "balance" and you will enjoy life more than you ever have! Being responsible, but not letting your CF run you, YOU running your CF.

Heck, if you can move out (depending on how sick you are) then yea I would totally recommend it. Having a life where you can do whatever (as long as you are responsible) would be awesome...at least I think so. As for me, my parent's wont let me, dag nabbit.
