Thanks...actually just saw Dr. Sonett today which was nice.

We took our time, stopped to talk with family, stopped for an NBC interview, etc. So, we finished at about 6:30. Very slow for a runner's standard, but we had a great time. I would like to do it again, someday....maybe in 10 years or so. It was a lot of training and, frankly, that type of training isn't the best to achieve optimal health.

Having goals is the best thing. Keep moving....that's all that's important.

Tim, if you are looking for another workout now that your marathon training is over you should try Insanity. I just started it and I love it! Much much more interesting than just running or lifting weights. Just a thought!

Margaret, Thanks for the info. I'll look it up.

I'm finally able to workout how I've always wanted to. I used to do mostly weights because I couldn't breathe. Then when I got my TX, I mostly ran because the marathon was my goal.

Today, I'm focused on an all-around workout. I train each of the 3 metabolic pathways, the phosocreatine, glycolytic, and oxidative--I've been doing 3 days on, 1 off. I feel so good and I'm always looking for new and better ways/techniques on exercise.

dude, come hang with me in the village and i'll take you to gyrotonic. or better yet, send your lovely wife and you and sonett can go, i dunno, run laps or something while we work out

i'm super impressed with you guys (all of you), but then again you knew that. and jerry, can't wait to cheer you on at the finishing line. between tim with his marathons, kelley with her 5k, and me with...um...stairs in my apartment (!!) i'd say we're all well on our way to optimal health. jerry, you, tina, and kris are totally next.

all of the post transplant patients living in New York (I didn't know there were so many of us!) should do a race together! Like a 5K (let's start easy) and maybe eventually all do a 1/2 marathon together. I hated every second of the 1/2 I did but would probably do it again.
