my daughter had the same issues....they decided to put her on lactulose (stool softener) 2x daily instead of using the miralax so frequently. this has seemed to really help her out when she is having a bm. it also has kept her more regular. i was told what is happening is normal for kids with cf, especially those who are highly pancreatic insuffiecient. you may want to try the stool softener. good luck!

So, I did the miralax X 2 days and she went yesterday and 2 times today. Honestly, her stool was hard yesterday but not very big (sorry TMI), so I think it was more an issue with her being scared to go after the last time. The only change is that we normally give 2 Creon 12000 with meals and 1 with snacks. I had been giving her 1 for breakfast because she usually only has whole milk with carnatian (she not a big early morning eater). She started eating a little food with the milk (like maybe half a cereal bar or something), so I upped it to 2. I went back down to 1 for breakfast because I just don't think she eats enough to require 2 capsules. Hopefully that will help!
