contraception

Hi i was just wondering if the ladies out there would be willing to share what contraception they're on. I want something as well as condoms to get rid of the "panic" of my irregular peroids. I am oesteopenic so this pretty much cuts out the depro injection and implanon i think. With digestive issues the pill is a no no, so is everyone else really using the coil? Let me know, and of your experiences with other forms
btw i would never do natural planning
Thanks

I used the pill for 12 years (first Ortho Tryclen and then Yasmin for the last 4 years). I never got pregnant or had any scares for that matter. Once I went off the pill and started to try to get pregnant I conceived the first month. It should be noted that I am pancreatic insufficient. I take 3 MT20's with each meal. As long as I take my enzymes I maintain weight just fine.

I have an IUD in. It was placed when Jazmine was about 5 months old. Its suppose to be good for 10 years which is up September 2008. I have had NO problems with it. Even thru my weight loss, regain, infections and sex I never had pain, problems or worries. I dont know what I will do if I am told that my body should have a break before getting a new one placed. I love it. Cant say enough about it. No hormone worries. No forgetting or stopping to use something etc.

I use Yaz, which sounds like you can't use that. There is the ring, you wear it in your vagina and it's good for a month, you take it out, have a period and put another one in. Sounds stress free! That is what the dr recommend for my sister (non CF).
Anyway, there are my 2 cents.
Good luck!

I use an iud. the brand i have I have a Merena which is good for five years. I actually just had mine replaced this month too. It has the added bonus of stopping my period which I really like. If you have questions feel free to PM me.

I have a copper IUD (non hormonal) and haven't had problems. My husband says he doesn't notice it at all.

My particular type of IUD can last for 10 years. I've had it for almost 4, but will be having it removed soon. We have decided that parenting is a challenge we just can't handle in addition to my health. My husband had a vasectomy and after the lab assures us that he's "shooting blanks" then I'll have my IUD removed.
