as far as the pill goes with absorption problems, I brought this up to OB/Gyn when I told her I had to use something other than the NuvaRing. She made many suggestions, but the pill seemed the best way to go for me. I asked her how likely it is for the pill to be really ineffective in me because of absorption issues and the tons of antiobiotics I'm always on. She said that issues like those are kind of "old wives tales" as far as the effectiveness of the BC goes. Nowadays they seem to have found that things like that don't really make the BC not work properly. Talk to your gyn though first just see if she agress with mine, lol.
