I say get in to cf clinic asap, that is bs that they "can''t" see you and it is his job to take care of himself so that he can stick around to take care of you & your lot --remind him of that, its not submission its being proactive. Sounds like time for a round of IV's to me.

If he truly wont go to doc then I woudl say albuterol (neb) up to 4x day with extra vest.

I see you say staph was normal, if he has never cultured pseudo then they need to hit it aggressively, including starting TOBI to try and kick it out.

I believe you just started daycare and Mark working so you might want to strap in for a long winter as this is 'norm' from what I hear for a first year daycare scenario, plus you have it harder because even if one or two escape without catchign something the other will and then 'share'. Ugh, I feel for you. Seems we are sick 1x month here as well.

Keep up the fluids , warm chicken soup or borth, Get a loaf of french bread and just when he thinks your getting him a loaf of bread for the chicken soup hit him over the head with it and drag him to the doctor . Well I guess you get my drift.

I would say, Antibiotics IV are the only answer aside from the regular everyday meds. Using the inhaler too much won't do him any good. He probalably need oxygen too. I always cough more when my oxygen is low. He needs to get it together , put the tough man aside for a bit and get some help with this. Staff is tough and needs help to get rid of it.

He is know help to anyone sick , Right?

Does mark do Home cleanouts?

I love everyones ideas about inisting to be seen. If they can't fit him in with his own doctor see another. Someone reccomended. That will draw thier attention.

Good luck and Get well fasttttttt

Oh yeah , remember we CFer's always tend to push the limit. If that is what he chooses in the end. it might be a longer more difficult road back to health.

blessings and prayers for the whole family.

LOL Jenwren! Would that be a day old loaf of french bread?!

IF, and only IF mark isn't feeling an immediate need to rush to the doc, then Sevenstars has some good suggestions..mark may just need some fluids and moisture in his lungs to move stuff around. If he's getting an infection, a dry cough won't help it.

If he's willing to see the doc, then you won't need the french bread, lol! but I suggest the chicken soup...

hope the family recovers and stops playing "cold, ear infection and flu" tag!
