Crazy doctor

Crazy indeed! I can't believe a doctor would do that. Even if the doc had an issue with you, I would think they would still want to be there for your child. The child is the one who gets hurt in this case. CF docs/clinics are not on every corner.

We are getting ready to set up our 504 next week. Avery will be going to Kindergarten next year. One of the CF nurses is going with us, so I hope we will not have any issues like this.

I hope it all works out for the best.

Liza, her doctor is fairly young, 30ish, so, she was probably not around when you went. I think I know who you mean by Dr. H. I saw him when she was in for a tune up and her doc was on vacation. He was great. As far as the cf coordinators, I don't really know them.

Lynsey, let me know how your 504 goes. I remember you from when I was asking advice about getting on one and you definately recommended it and you were a teacher. I don't know if you saw my post about my update w/ the 504 where I said that they said there was not an academic need for it. Obviously, your child is not even able to show an academic need not even being in school yet and you are already having a meeting. I told them it has nothing to do with academic need but it was useless. Good luck with yours!
