Crazy weird pressure in my ear

My right ear feels like it's full of water. Like I went swimming and it's all plugged up. Like I have a cold and it needs to pop type feeling.

I'd been having issues w/my sinuses. Well my mom 'candled' my ear (put a special tube-thing in my ear & you light it to 'draw' crap out of your ears...that's what it's made for). Well ever since then I have that 'full' feeling in my ear. Like it needs to pop.

We candled both ears but only might right one is weird feeling.

The same ear had a strange sensation a week ago. I would swallow and it felt like there were pop rocks in my ear. A weird fizzing sound/feeling, so much so it woke me up at night.

Any ideas?

My son has had something that sounds very similar to what you are describing - it turned out to be a big wad of ear wax, smashed flat against the ear drum. I tried the over the counter stuff and it didn't work, had to take him to the regular doctor at the clinic and they did a wash multiple times and got it to come out. On another occasion he was seeing the ENT for something else, so he noticed a big build up again (although it hadn't started bothering him yet) so the ENT dug around with all his nifty little gadgets until he was able to get a bunch of wax out again.

You could try some of the over the counter stuff or what the ENT recommended was 50/50 water and hydrogen peroxide squired into the ear (put a cup near the ear and a towel on the shoulder) and try flushing it out - be prepared to do it repeatedly... like maybe 10-15 times...if it doesn't come out try leaving a little bit in the ear with a cotton ball - the hydrogen peroxide should break up the wax and make it easier to dislodge with the flushing again.

I'll give that a try. I'd really prefer to 'fix' this at home rather than see a dr. So hopefully I can get something to move in there and be able to hear again!!

Thanks!

When I have that sensation my ENT tells me that it's congestion from my sinuses. Something that loosens up mucus and helps drain will help.
