<P>Patient just changed insurance to Signa with new job. Walgreens wanted $600 for six bottles of enzymes. Help. Could only pay for one bottle which won't even last a week. Applying for assistance program but anyone else have this problem with Signa?</P>

yikes. A couple things I would do: contact your CF clinic and see if they have any Creon samples..Our clinic always seems to have samples for enzymes they may be able to give you. i do not know about Signa insurance but speak with your social worker at the CF clinic. Also, contact Creon and see about patient assistance programs; they do waive copays and offer free vitamins and nutritional products as well.

My insurance company has CREON as a Tier 4. They list PANCREAZE and ZENPEP as Tier 3. Check with the insurance company and check the co-payment on the Tier 3.

Wow, I am always shocked when I read about the insurance issues here. I cannot believe that insurances don't Pay à Treatment that is needed for Survival...
We Pay 26 Euro for a bottle of creon for Kids which lasts about two weeks.
Our insurance Pays for everything except for aquadeks, which is Not approved on the German market. Seems our heatlth System is Not so Bad As I always thought...

we get our Creon from Canada. They are the same not generic ones and they cost us $30.00 for 100

CF Careforward has a discount program for Creon. My insurance covers Creon and my co-pay is $30 and this program pays for that co-pay (up to $50) so I get it for free.

The manufacturer Abbott also has a patient assistance program.
It's worth to check into it. Just google it and you will find the info.
