I have heard differing opinions, but my daughter's nurse said that the problem with cf is internal and caused by the disease not really the milk they are ingesting causing mucous to thicken. And I agree it is such a good source of protein and fat. However, my daughter is lactose intolerant.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> And I hate it for her because I love cheese and yogurt and she did to until we figured out why she was puking.

I don't know the scientific data, but we don't drink it for the simple possibility of it making mucus production worse. The boys really like fortified soy milk with cereal and I replace milk in most recipes with coconut milk. They do have cheese and sour cream though.

blessings,
Missa

I have heard that a lot over the years
But for my 3 Cf Siblings and my self it has never
been a issue. I have always loved my Cold glass of milk or two..
BTW I drink Whole Milk.. don't care for 2% ..

I think it depends on the person. But it has never
bothered me when sick or not.

DS gets his extra calories from cream and whole milk. If he asks for cereal, I pour in mostly cream. Doesn't seem to be an issue for him.
