Updated:::: I asked my doctor yesterday about my collapsed lobe.
He pulled up my CT and explained it to me again. He said he doesn't believe that it is a 'collapse', but rather a large cavity, or air pocket that you see. Apparently it was the radiologist who wrote the report in my medical record, not my doctor. My doctor thought since he's not as used to seeing CF lungs that he just assumed he was looking at a collapse. Sounds a little weird to me, but I guess that's about right. My doc said if it was a complete collapse, then the whole lobe would look like the opaque cartilage areas of the scan.
So my doctor didn't "mess up" like how I had thought, and I'm not as mad anymore. Just thought I'd update that point here. I am going to get another opinion though on it next week. It will be interesting to see what a third person says!
