Digestive issues...yet again

Cheese is known to cause constipation, so it does make sense that it may cause some problems. In fact, if you are ever "loose," cheese is one of the good things to eat to help you get regulated again. Conversely, though, if you get blocked up easily, cheese is for sure something to limit or avoid.

As far as deep fried foods go, I too avoid them, generally like the plague... They cause nothing but problems here as well. No other food gives me such an upset stomach so quickly, and for so long.

Have you ever tried miralax? I used to take lactulose, but I find miralax much more pleasant to take. You just mix it in with any drink (i even mix it with chicken broth sometimes), and its barely noticeable. No more of that nasty sweetness from the lactulose.

In my experience, nearly all digestive problems (except for crohn's disease and whatnot) are alleviated by getting enough fiber.
<br><br>
Most people just automatically think that they get plenty, but in fact very few people do. You need to slowly work up your way to 30 or 40 grams per day. There is no need for fiber supplements. They are a waste of money, and healthy whole food will always be better.
<br><br>
Buy bread that has 3 grams per slice. Eat more green veggies. Eat barley and legumes. And there is nothing wrong with cheese and yogurt. They have very little lactose, and are very unlikely to cause any problems. The greasy and fried foods will always ruin your stomach.
<br><br>
And for the record, I eat upwards of 50 grams of fiber everyday. Lots of barley and lentils and broccoli. I eat junk food in very small amounts, because it hurts my stomach as well.
<br><br>
It is very possible to eat healthy and still enjoy food.

Ooooo...I will ALWAYS enjoy my food!!!! LOL.

Thanks for all of the advice, I very much appreciate it. I am leaning towards the either fried food or maybe even a stomach. I am still having slight diahrea, but no more pain. So maybe the fried food didnt help the stomach bug. Who knows.

I am starting to eat more fiber, I eat tons of veggies, love them. I do eat relatively healthy except for the times when I like to splurge like last week. So thanks guys, hopefully I will keep getting better.

I pass on most dairy because it will cause more mucus to be produced...I also get stomachaches and what not when I eat those too...fried food though I do ok with...just goes through me like water
