Gotcha about the SSI versus SSDI. I made too much money for Mark to get it too.

Are you familiar with the impairment listings for CF. I'm pretty sure you already meet them with your hospital admittances. <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.socialsecurity.gov/disability/professionals/bluebook/3.00-Respiratory-Adult.htm
">http://www.socialsecurity.gov/...Respiratory-Adult.htm
</a>
How often do you have sputum cultures done? Are you ever put on nebulized tobi or colistin, or IV antibiotics (either at home or the hospital)? If so, how often? The easiest impairment listing to meet is the 3.04C

I agree beth is fantastic, in fact, I have gotten 100% of everything I know about this process from her. That coupled with our experiences (5 denials, 27 months and 1 federal hearing...) give me a lot of info to share with others. Inspite of the fact that she's fantastic, I'm free and she's not.

I would really encourage you to allow me to assist you first (with this initial application) and if you get denied this first time (which is VERY likely), help you with the appeal. I'm only saying this because of the $$$ involved. I'm free, she's not.

I have some documents to forward to you to help you start keeping track of your respiratory infections/neblulized or IV antibiotics as a result, and some general "good to know" information. Can you PM me with your email address or email me at division902@verizon.net?

Somethings up with the site tonight, this is th 4th time I've typed a VERY long post. I'll make this one simple.

Please familiarize yourself with the impairment listings <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.socialsecurity.gov/disability/professionals/bluebook/3.00-Respiratory-Adult.htm#3.04%20Cystic%20fibrosis">http://www.socialsecurity.gov/...04%20Cystic%20fibrosis</a> I can almost guarantee you meet 3.04C and possibly even 3.04B

I've learned 99% of what I know from beth. However I'm free and she's not. So I beg of you to consider giving me a chance first. I can provide references from other CFers who I've helped if you are interested, I'd completely understand!

Please PM me or email me at division902@verizon.net I'd also love to chat breifly with you on the phone so I'm going to PM you my cell# (or you can PM yours to me and I'll call you). I have some documents to send over to you that will give you some good to know information, and a log to help you keep track of lung infections and the nebulized/IV antibiotics given to treat.

I hope you'll let me help you!

So call her she is wonderful. The govt is stupid and all these rules and regs, you have to be bedridden to get on the stuff and then after you are approved you can work part-time!!!!

Oh BTW I have only worked part-time I have never been able to work full-time.

First thing: based on how much you say you worked when you did work you probably did not have enough work credits to qualify.

Second you must require IV or inhaled antibiotic treatment every 6 months on average. Once a year isn't going to qualify.

I'm sorry you went through all that. I understand WHY they have the guidelines that they do, but it stinks for those who don't meet them yet still can't work.
