Okay, My son is 8 months old. We had a busy afternoon and he missed his afternoon nap.(Grandma was watching him). Well, when I picked him up and got home it was seven p.m., he was super, super tired so I gave him a bottle, and he went to sleep....HE IS STILL A SLEEP...Now it's past ten. I think he will sleep until morning. Should I wake him? He is on Pulmolzme...and he hasn't had his evening CPT or neb.....He has only missed one night of Pulmolzme and CPT, since he has been on it....Would you wake him?

Thanks,

Sarah

Hi Sarah,
When my son was that age we just did it when he was asleep. I dont now if thats an option. My son now sleeps through his vest if it is late and he usally falls asleep every night while doing it. I would maybe just let him sleep tonight if he is not sick. Thats just me though.

Okay, it's now almost midnight...I think I'm going to let him sleep...This is going to be a BIG NIGHT. I havn't let him sleep in his crib...in his nursery for bed time. That's where he is sleeping at now...he just naps in there. I have kept him in our bedroom in his cosleeper..I think his long hospital stay at birth to fix his tummy....made it harder on me to let him go. Okay, I'm going to let him rest..I feal very guilty though..I hate letting him miss his treatments...

Thanks,

Sarah

I hope you had a good night sleep and are not feeling guilty about it. If there were antibiotics involved, I'd probably feel more like missing a dose is a bad idea and suggest administering them to a sleeping baby & hoping he does not wake - but for the routine stuff when the lungs are doing fine I really wouldn't worry about it - being well rested is important for staying healty too.
