Well i recently noticed that im sweating too much. On my armpits mostly. You can see it when im wearing a shirt and its get wet almost down to the elbow. Its not when i exercise, then it would be natural i guess, but when i get nervous, anxious or stressed. I suspect it has to do with adrenaline. It is really uncomfortable guys. It is not smelly its just like im losing water. Does nyone of you experience the same? Any suggestions of what would help?

Hi! I suffered from this problem for years about 10 years ago and I know exactly what you're going through. It was hell, it really impacted my life in a negative way, I had to wear clothes that would hide it all the time. However, I found a really good product on the market which I used for a couple of years and it totally stopped, it was like a miracle.

I can't remember the name right now but next time I go to the store I'll get it for you (the name), then maybe you can look for it in your country or order online.

I also know of other people who used it but it didn't work so well on them, so I guess it really depends on the person. And I don't think this is CF specific since I never heard of other CF patients sweating so profusely, but I've heard of different random healthy people having this problem.

And of course, suffering from CF, your sweat loses a lot of salt, so make sure to eat lots of chips and salted foods and drink lots of water, but this is common sense.

Good luck and you'll hear from me soon with the name of the product.

Vasiliki - Let me be more specific - the sweating stopped as soon as I started using the product, and I used it for about 2 more years and then I didn't have to use it anymore and I'm still OK. I remember thinking at the time that I wished somebody had told me about it earlier since it was causing me a lot of frustration and impacting my social life.

I actually don't sweat very much at all, compared to my friends.

There is a condition known as hyperhydrosis which causes excessive sweating. Sometimes, people with this condition have botox injections in their armpits to control sweating.

I have hyperhidrosis, I dont have CF. But the sweating never affects my arm pits, my hands and feet sweat alot, doesn't matter if i'm hot or cold, somedays its really bad, sweat will drip right off my hands, and make paper im writing on wet etc...Thebotox injections can be done for armpits, and it lasts about 6 months at a time. There also are machines you can buy, called iontophoresis machines, it uses electrical currents and water, and will help stop the sweating. You have to use it for 30 minutes at a time 2xs a day for a couple weeks to start, then a couple times a week to keep up the results. It does work, I had one, but it got to be a hassle just sitting there doing it everyday...Which would probably not be something you would want to add to your other treatment times... My bf has CF, and I don't notice that his pits sweat that much...In the summer he says when he sweats you can seee salt on his skin when it dries, and he will get salt stains on his baseball hats too...
