..I do agree that that was a very sick article to write, even if it was meant to be a joke! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

The Onion is known for its inappropriate "news" articles and spoofs. Letterman and Leno sometimes pull fader for jokes from its pages.

The problem with this, whether or not its real, is that it will probably keep some people who would donate from doing so, which hurts us all. I don't find this funny in any shape or form and think that it is the wrong way to go. Perhaps I just don't have a sense of humor when it comes to this disease, or any other for that matter. The big issue is that not everyone will take the time to try and figure out if it is for real or not and that could potentially damage the Foundations reputation and make it harder for us to raise the money needed to continue on developing new drugs and hopefully eventually finding a cure. VERY, VERY SAD! NOT FUNNY!

I found a link where the author tries to justify why she wrote this article. She is trying to shed light on non-profits and in my opinion she has made an attack on the people who have suffered with this disease in their lives and families. This type of so called humor is not funny and is hurtful.
